Cape Town Urban Safari: Transformative 8-Hour City Quest

I did the Urban Safari with a group of friends for my birthday. The guide was great and full of fun and very informative. We started with the BoKaap which is so picturesque. On to Distrikt six and that was very informative and great seeing all the street art. We thoroughly enjoyed the craft beer pairing and the Cape Point Vineyard! All in all it was a wonderful way to spend my birthday with friends. Everything was super organised and the day just flowed! I highly recommend this tour as it’s lots of fun, informative and all organised seamlessly for you!

I was given the experience and opportunity of a lifetime by going on this tour. Our guide Vaughan was an absolute blast. He had great energy, a good knowledge of the city, and an ambition to connect with his tourists. I had the privilege of riding with Vaughan for 3 days all of which were 10/10 experiences. The country is beautiful and I will be sure to visit again, and when I do, I will be calling up Vaughan just to see him again.

As someone who lives in Cape Town and who leads their own social & racial justice experiences with a local team of incredibly knowledgeable guides and activists, I have incredibly high standards and I've been testing tour guides for months trying to find the best ones to recommend to the groups who stay at our Airbnb when I'm in not in country. I've finally found that in Kiff Kombi. A perfect blend of real history that isn't overbearing, fun, laughter, beautiful views and hidden local spots, and done at a perfect pace. I was shocked at the knowledge of our young guide and the social awareness of the company. But even if you're not interested in learning, it could be a perfect way to see some of Cape town's most beautiful views and hidden gems. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of taking the urban safari tour with Wilson our guide yesterday and wow what a day. From the start of the trip the warm welcome & the ease of how this company operates was so cool. It’s defiantly a tour company suited to young people as most of us where around 25 it was a great bunch… So back on to the tour…. We started in the wonderful bo-kaap area with all the amazingly colourful homes follow by our first snack of the day some delectable samosa’s from a local store. Wilson was great in his knowledge of the area and articulated this in a really cool & easy way. Our next stops where district 6 & a graffiti area. I have to say that i was some of the coolest graffiti that i have ever seen. Now having been on the tour for a few hours it was time for lunch. This was set in a lovely brewery style bar that had some great food. I went for the chorizo burger, it was divine & washed it down with a porter beer both the meal & drink was included in the price. After lunch we headed over the mountains to the oldest wine making region in the southern hemisphere, here we had the opportunity to taste a few wines while in some of the most beautiful surroundings that i have every seen with the mountains behind & sea in the distance it was a great place to get some cool shots. After the views of the winery i thought could not be topped but Wilson took us to a secret sunset spot that only had two other people there. The views are truly magnificent it was the perfect place to end the day with a beer thats included. This has to be one of the coolest tours companies in South Africa so if your looking for a tour that is fun an informative then look no further.

I would highly recommend Kiff Tours for anyone visiting Cape Town. We had a great day seeing all the hidden sights, followed by a couple of unforgettable wineries and a beautiful scenic drive to Chapman’s Peak to close out the day. It was easily the best day out our trip and would have no hesitation recommending this tour.
